This piece was made with an ancient brass amulet worn by a sun goddess in mind as a hypothetical inspiration. I imagine a queen, skin glistening in the sun, eyeliner on point, cuffs piled on the wrists and rings adorning every finger, and this shield of brass with radiant stamping and larimar heart beaming from the center. Now picture her in modern day, walking down your street. She's cool, right? Is she you? 
 
I am lucky enough to have a friend who brings me larimar stones from her vacations in the Dominican Republic. The elements and atmosphere in the Dominican make it the only place on earth where this bright, vibrant blue stone forms, and it is in finite supply.
